Offord, and the Gang of However-many-there-were.

But paradoxically, if I understand things correctly, MetProGate (Copyright 2011. Our elected representatives have forgotten or simply do not care that they are in office to serve the community, and the senior management prefers to give priority to the advancement of their inglorious careers. And this is why democracy is dying a slow death in Broken Barnet, at the same time that our coalition government is telling us that 'localism' is empowering us to take control of our lives.Mrs Angryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00586223909475832791noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6371203489316363738.post-61499005637732741572011-06-21T11:18:52.079+01:002011-06-21T11:18:52.079+01:00Thanks so much for this thoughtful, reasoned and d...Thanks so much for this thoughtful, reasoned and detailed response to the Internal Audit. I too am a Barnet Resident and would wish to add my name - as, I am sure, would many others.

The issues you identify are not petty political nit-picking concerns but of fundamental immediate and future importance to the running of our Council and Borough. The centralisation and secrecy of decision making over the past few years has meant that proper scrutiny, for example of planning, has become virtually impossible and the breakdown over MetPro is not an isolated issue but symptomatic of a systemic problem.

Please keep me posted.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
